Sometimes I wonder the kind of people we Ghanaians are. It looks like all that we are interested in is to promote hardship for one another.
For most public institutions, innovation is a curse and a bane to the very fabrics of their existence. They exist just to makes the life of the ordinary people unbearable. They will go on every mile to justify why they should increase the hardships of Ghanaians but not why they should work tirelessly to ensure quality living standards for the people. One such useless institution is electricity company of Ghana.

In fact the speciality of ECG is to rob the people. They are worse than any other robbery gang you can imagine. Ever since I came of age, I have never witnessed ECG introducing something innovative if not to steal from the people. In fact which institution will do the following:
1. Introduce prepaid meters and artificially create shortage so that users will have to bribe officials for it.
2. Pilot prepaid meters and after finding it being effective decided not to fully implement the scheme.
3. Increase electricity bill without any corresponding improvement in electricity delivery.
4. If a customer want meter will have to use illegal means to obtained them.
countless examples that every Ghanaian knows.
In fact, in Kumasi now, there has never been a single day where the lights do not go off for at least 12 hours a day for the past two years.
Now imagine the stupidity of ECG: The last time they increase electricity bill because the Cedi has being depreciating against the dollar; and from Thursday (3rd July 2014), they are increasing light bill just to SUSTAIN (MAINTAIN) LOAD-SHEDDING. PAYING FOR LOAD-SHEDDING OR PAYING FOR LIGHT OFF. ABA.
THINK ECG, THINK PRESIDENT MAHAMA, THINK GHANAIANS
